How the math works
For a U-100 syringe, 100 units equals 1 mL. After reconstitution, the calculator converts the measured amount into mL, then into syringe units.
Concentration = vial mg ÷ water mL
mL needed = measured mg ÷ concentration
Units = mL needed × 100
Example
A 10 mg vial mixed with 2 mL creates a 5 mg/mL concentration. A 0.5 mg measured amount equals 0.1 mL, or 10 units on a U-100 syringe.
